Say hello to Child’s Play Truganina, one of our newest early learning centres, located at Level 1/101/203 Palmers Rd, Truganina VIC 3029.
Since recently taking over management of the centre, we’ve been thoughtfully updating the rooms, resources, play spaces, and learning environments to better reflect the Child’s Play approach.
We’re proud to welcome families into a refreshed centre where children can feel safe, supported, curious, and excited to learn each day.
Come with us as we take you through the centre and share each of our spaces with you.
A Warm & Welcoming Start
From the moment you arrive, you’re welcomed into a calm and inviting reception space where our friendly team is ready to support you.
Before entering the rooms, families have access to a welcoming multipurpose space, designed to support both families and children throughout the day.
This space can be used for:
- Settling in during orientation
- Meeting with educators
- Conversations about your child’s needs
It also evolves throughout the week to support incursions, small group experiences, and community connection – making it a flexible and valuable part of our centre.
We also proudly display our daily affirmations, helping children build confidence, kindness, and a strong sense of belonging from the very beginning.

Quality Care You Can Trust
At Child’s Play, quality and transparency are at the heart of everything we do.
Families can explore:
- Our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP), guiding continuous growth
- Child Safe Standards, ensuring a secure environment
- Clear pathways to raise questions or concerns with our team
Our goal is simple: to provide a safe, supportive environment where children can thrive—and families feel confident every step of the way.
A Strong Sense of Community
We believe childcare is more than education—it’s about connection.
Within our centre, you’ll find shared spaces designed to bring families together:
- A community board with local events and connections
- A community library and pantry, where families can give and receive
- A beautiful children’s art gallery, celebrating creativity across all age groups
These spaces reflect our belief that every family belongs and plays an important role in our community.
Fresh, Nutritious Meals Every Day
We know how important nutrition is for growing minds and bodies.
That’s why we provide a four-week rotating menu, freshly prepared by our in-house chef, including:
- Breakfast
- Morning tea
- Lunch (with second servings)
- Afternoon tea
- Late snack
All meals are cooked on-site and tailored to meet individual dietary needs—so every child is supported and nourished throughout the day.
A Space to Connect, Create & Share
Our shared spaces are designed to bring children together in meaningful and engaging ways. One of these spaces is now our dining area, where children come together to enjoy meals, connect with peers, and participate in hands-on learning experiences.
This is also where we run one of our much-loved incursions:
🍳 Little Chefs Kitchen
Little Chefs Kitchen explores food and nutrition through hands-on cooking sessions. Children build practical skills each week, from mashing seasonal fruit to safely chopping vegetables and assembling a garden salad. And the best part? Every session ends with sitting down together and enjoying what we’ve made.
This space encourages independence, confidence, and a positive relationship with food – all while making learning fun and social.
Learning Rooms Designed for Every Stage
Each of our rooms is thoughtfully designed to reflect children’s age, development, and interests—creating environments where they feel confident to explore, learn, and grow.
Babies & Sleep Room
Our nursery is a calm, nurturing space where our youngest children feel safe, secure, and supported. Through gentle interactions, sensory experiences, and responsive care, educators build strong emotional bonds with each child.
Our dedicated sleep room provides:
- Individual cots and bedding
- A peaceful environment with soft music
- Personalised routines aligned with each child’s needs
This ensures children feel comfortable, rested, and ready to engage in their day.
Toddlers (18 months – 3 years)
Our toddler rooms are full of energy, curiosity, and discovery. Children are encouraged to explore through:
- Sensory and hands-on play
- Construction and problem-solving activities
- Role play that builds imagination and social skills
- Book corners and quiet retreat spaces
At this stage, children are developing independence, communication, and friendships—and our educators gently guide and support these important milestones.
3-Year-Old Kindergarten
In our 3-year-old kinder room, learning becomes more intentional while still led by play.
Children engage in:
- Creative arts and self-expression
- Early literacy and numeracy experiences
- Group learning that builds confidence and collaboration
Our educators follow children’s interests to create meaningful learning opportunities that feel exciting and relevant.
4-Year-Old Kindergarten
Our 4-year-old kinder program focuses on school readiness, helping children feel confident and prepared for their next step.
Through a balance of play and structured learning, children develop:
- Independence and responsibility
- Early academic foundations
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Social confidence and teamwork
We ensure every child transitions to school feeling capable, confident, and ready to thrive.
Outdoor Play & Exploration
Our outdoor environments are just as important as our indoor spaces.
Children enjoy:
- Water play, sandpits, and mud play
- Climbing and physical challenges
- Gardening and sustainability experiences
We offer indoor/outdoor play throughout the day, allowing children the freedom to choose where they feel most engaged and comfortable.
A Place Where Families Belong
At Child’s Play Truganina, we want every family to feel like they belong from the moment they walk through our doors.
As a family-owned centre, relationships are at the heart of what we do. We take the time to get to know each child, their family, their routines, their interests, and the little things that make them unique.
Our goal is to create a place where children feel safe, loved, and confident to be themselves, and where families feel welcomed, heard, and supported.
Because at Child’s Play, Every Child Matters.
