Being in our local community and supporting it is a very important principle and initiative for Child’s Play early learning centre. We are a family run business and want our community to feel part of our “family”. Whenever possible we try to be supportive and active in our local communities and bring the communities into the service. We believe by “giving back to the community, they will give and support us”.
Being active in our communities is very important to Child’s Play at some of our centres we have a multi-purpose rooms which have been used for some of the following activities:
- Mothers groups/Play groups
- First Aid courses for the local community
- Baby massage
- and yoga
If you are interested in booking the multi-purpose rooms for community events please contact your local child’s play service to check on availability; there is no cost associated with booking this room, but we do expect our community to treat the room with respect.
Local primary schools
We also work closely with the local schools in the area to support children’s transition to prep and school readiness. We will arrange visits to the schools the children are attending in terms 3 and 4.
Our kinder teachers will be in touch with the schools your child will attend and communicate with the kinder transition co-ordinator to ensure your child is supported throughout there transition and the school is equipped with the relevant information to support your child to settle in thier new environment.
In our local areas we invest in local charities and initiatives to support various organisations in the local community such as:
Sponsoring local teams/ paying for healthy snacks and lunches for local teams.
Market days (advertising and supporting local businesses
If you are would like to use our facilities or would like to connect and be part of the Child’s Play “family”, we encourage you to get in touch and hopefully we can work together in supporting our local community.
Looking after our parents
We also like to take care of the whole family, not just your child. In most services we have a coffee machine (so that you can pick up your morning coffee when you drop the children off) and we also like to prepare little snacks for busy working parents such as muffins or slices (as per our menu) in the morning, so that you can pick up breakfast on the run.
All services also have fruit bowls in the rooms and also located around the service so at any time you or your child can enjoy a healthy snack.
