Childcare Dandenong South

A Family-Owned Childcare

At our Dandenong South centre, we’re proud to be a family-owned childcare service, led by parents and educators Sam and Ian Johnson. We believe in building strong connections with families and our community – we’ll understand and meet your needs as best as we can.

Our team takes the time to get to know your family, your culture, values, and daily routines, helping make the transition to childcare easier. Our centre wouldn’t be the same without the valuable input and involvement of our families.

Our Rooms and Outdoor Areas

Our Dandenong South Early Learning Centre has 9 thoughtfully designed rooms – including 2 multipurpose breakout spaces. These rooms allow for flexible use, such as an additional dining area, a mindfulness zone, or a quiet space to read. By replicating environments from home and the outside world, our rooms and outdoor area help children develop valuable life skills and knowledge. Our indoor environments feature natural wooden home-style furniture and soft colour palettes, intentionally chosen to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere for every child to enjoy.

With dedicated nursery, toddler, and kinder rooms, children are supported at every age and stage as they move through new challenges and learning experiences. Our play spaces, hands-on activities, and outdoor areas are designed to make every day feel like a new learning adventure!

What’s included at Child’s Play Dandenong South?

Kindergarten Program Dandenong South

Embark on a kindergarten learning adventure at Child’s Play Dandenong South, where our program is designed to foster growth, creativity, and discovery! Following the Early Years Learning Framework, we nurture all aspects of child development, from cognitive skills to creative expression. Our educators facilitate a blend of structured learning and open-ended play, encouraging children to become confident individuals ready for big school!

Nurturing Confidence with Our Affirmations

Daily affirmations are a core part of our daily routine, helping our children build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self. Our affirmation cards feature simple, empowering statements like ‘I am brave’ and ‘I am learning and growing every day’, encouraging our children to develop a positive mindset and believe in their abilities.

We sprinkle these affirmations throughout the day – in group activities, storytime, and even physical play. It’s a fun and powerful way to reinforce self-worth and emotional well-being so our little ones feel ready to take on the world!

Point Cook

We feel like we have struck gold finding this daycare centre. We had our daughter enrolled in another centre when she was 10 months old and she had not settled after 12 sessions, it was an extremely stressful and emotional time. I quickly decided we needed to change centres; I did some research and THANKFULLY came across Childs Play Point Cook.

The centre director Sam and assistant manager Wararat are both very approachable, caring and professional. You get a real family vibe. During our orientations, I was even approached by the owner who was visiting, she was extremely caring and reassured me that it gets easier.

The centre has been renovated and is very clean, the food menu is very balanced. But above everything else the educators are incredible. We couldn’t be more grateful - we would recommend Childs Play Point Cook to any family without hesitation.

Torquay

By far the best medium-sized childcare and early learning centre in the area - and I looked at all of them before joining! The staff are well trained, and genuinely put the children first in terms of their social and educational learning. It's been a tough time with covid, etc, but the Childs Play Torquay team have kept us safe and well informed. After almost a year and a half there now, I can honestly say the staff are part of our extended family. The kids love it as much as I do. I totally rate them all the stars and 15/10. Well done to managers, admin, catering and teachers

The centre is gorgeous and well thought out, catering to the needs of children's interests and stages of development. The staff are very friendly and family oriented and I can't wait for my daughter to begin her day care journey in the nursery room

Tarneit West

I’ve been through many daycare centres and Child’s Play Tarneit West is the one I’ve settled with. From the beginning management and the ladies have been helpful and caring. It was hard for me to put my 1 year old into daycare but they made the transition easy. It’s even better when I get to see through the app the times my son has eaten, slept and has had nappy change. It’s rare to find good daycare centres these days. My son loves it here. And the centre itself is always clean and it’s brand new. Couldn’t ask for a better child care for my son. Thank you ladies
