A Family-Owned Childcare

At our Mambourin early learning centre, we’re proud to be a family-owned childcare service, led by parents and educators Sam and Ian Johnson. We believe in building strong connections with families and our community.

Our team takes the time to get to know your family, your culture, values, and daily routines, helping make the transition to childcare easier. Our centre wouldn’t be the same without the valuable input and involvement of our families.

Our Rooms and Outdoor Areas

Our Mambourin Early Learning Centre has eight beautifully designed rooms. Each area has been created to reflect familiar home and community settings, helping children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

With separate nursery, toddler, and kinder rooms, our Mambourin childcare centre supports every stage of early development. Our calming indoor spaces use natural timber furniture and soft, welcoming tones, while our outdoor areas spark imagination and physical play, because every day should feel like a new adventure!

What’s included at Child’s Play Mambourin?

At our Mambourin early learning centre, we welcome little ones aged 6 weeks to 6 years with a complete suite of amenities and care. Here’s what’s included in your daily fee:

  • A nutritious and delicious menu carefully crafted by our expert in-house chef, who accommodates any dietary needs and allergy sensitivities
  • Essential supplies, including nappies, sunscreen, milk, and wipes
  • Individual lockers for personal belongings
  • Regular updates and photos so we can let you know about your child’s activities and big milestones!

We just ask that each child bring a bag or backpack and a water bottle. Everything else is taken care of!

Healthy Menu, No Budget Limits

Our in-house chefs prepare fresh, balanced meals every day. The rotating seasonal menu includes favourites like Thai beef noodle salad, crumbed fish with vegetables, veggie korma curry and plenty of fruit and homemade snacks.

We don’t compromise when it comes to ingredients. Our chefs aren’t given tight food budgets or restrictions – they have the freedom to order what they need so we can offer the best quality, most nutritious meals for our little ones.

Our meals are created by our head chef, Fawzia, who brings years of experience and a love of introducing children to new flavours. Children are encouraged to grab a snack when they feel hungry, helping them build healthy, mindful eating habits from an early age. Mealtimes are relaxed and social, giving children the chance to try new foods and chat with new friends.

Nurturing Confidence with Our Affirmations

Daily affirmations are a core part of our daily routine, helping our children build confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of self. Our affirmation cards feature simple, empowering statements like ‘I am brave’ and ‘I am learning and growing every day’, encouraging our children to develop a positive mindset and believe in their abilities.

We sprinkle these affirmations throughout the day – in group activities, storytime, and even in playtime. It’s a fun and powerful way to reinforce self-worth and emotional well-being so our little ones feel ready to take on the world!

What our parents have to say…

Point Cook

We feel like we have struck gold finding this daycare centre. We had our daughter enrolled in another centre when she was 10 months old and she had not settled after 12 sessions, it was an extremely stressful and emotional time. I quickly decided we needed to change centres; I did some research and THANKFULLY came across Childs Play Point Cook.

The centre director Sam and assistant manager Wararat are both very approachable, caring and professional. You get a real family vibe. During our orientations, I was even approached by the owner who was visiting, she was extremely caring and reassured me that it gets easier.

The centre has been renovated and is very clean, the food menu is very balanced. But above everything else the educators are incredible. We couldn’t be more grateful - we would recommend Childs Play Point Cook to any family without hesitation.

Torquay

By far the best medium-sized childcare and early learning centre in the area - and I looked at all of them before joining! The staff are well trained, and genuinely put the children first in terms of their social and educational learning. It's been a tough time with covid, etc, but the Childs Play Torquay team have kept us safe and well informed. After almost a year and a half there now, I can honestly say the staff are part of our extended family. The kids love it as much as I do. I totally rate them all the stars and 15/10. Well done to managers, admin, catering and teachers

This place is not just a daycare service it’s a second home and a second family to my 2 year old. They staff are encouraging, caring and supportive to the kids and their families and the learning that takes place is above and beyond what I ever expected.

The centre is gorgeous and well thought out, catering to the needs of children's interests and stages of development. The staff are very friendly and family oriented and I can't wait for my daughter to begin her day care journey in the nursery room

Tarneit West

I’ve been through many daycare centres and Child’s Play Tarneit West is the one I’ve settled with. From the beginning management and the ladies have been helpful and caring. It was hard for me to put my 1 year old into daycare but they made the transition easy. It’s even better when I get to see through the app the times my son has eaten, slept and has had nappy change. It’s rare to find good daycare centres these days. My son loves it here. And the centre itself is always clean and it’s brand new. Couldn’t ask for a better child care for my son. Thank you ladies

While attending my girls have made some amazing memories and great relationships. I would highly recommend this centre to everyone in the area.
