Kindergarten at Child’s Play ELC

At Child’s Play Early Learning Centre, we’re all about giving your little one the best possible start to their educational journey. Our kindergarten centres are designed to be warm, nurturing, and engaging. Each centre features a team of local educators who are dedicated, passionate and highly skilled.

What will your child experience?

Through engaging, play-based learning, your child will:

  • Build their sense of identity
  • Explore how they fit into the world around them
  • Learn how to communicate with others
  • Strengthen their physical, social, and emotional well-being
  • Feel confident trying new things

Our programs embrace cultural diversity, encouraging families to share their traditions with us so we can integrate them into fun activities and celebrations.

Why Choose Child’s Play ELC?

Our kindergarten curriculum is designed to be vibrant and exploratory! We embrace the ‘Learning through Play’ philosophy developed by Kathy Walker, combining intentional teaching with the natural curiosity that comes with play. This approach helps children develop creative thinking, problem-solving skills, and a sense of safe risk-taking.

In our pre-kinder and kinder classrooms, we use the Reggio Emilia methodology, allowing children to take the reins of their learning experiences while our teachers partner with them as co-learners.

What sets us apart:
  • Flexible hours –  Drop off between 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Year-round care – Open 52 weeks.
  • Nutritious meals – No need to pack snacks or lunches.
  • Long-term friendships – Children stay with the same group for up to five years.
  • More learning time – Up to 37.5 hours of weekly contact with teachers.

Free Kinder Initiative: Save up to $2,050 on fees

The Victorian Government offers the Free Kinder Initiative, providing access to free or significantly reduced kindergarten fees for both Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten programs. This initiative applies to participating services, including standalone kindergartens and long day care services. At Child’s Play ELC, families can benefit from a fee reduction of up to $2,050 per child, ensuring every Victorian child, regardless of visa status, can access affordable early education.
