Welcome to our Tarneit childcare centre, located at 642 Tarneit Road. We are proud to provide a nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.
At our purpose-built facility, we offer a play-based curriculum designed to help children understand their role in the world and become lifelong learners. We have a beautiful indoor-outdoor environment with four open spaces for your child to develop. Paired with the latest research in early childhood development, we provide your child with the resources and tools to progress their physical and emotional development.

Owned by parents and educators Sam and Ian Johnson, our Tarneit centre prides itself on engaging their families and their community to meet the needs of their families better. Our team takes the time to get to know your family, culture, values, and routines to assist in the transition to childcare. For us, our childcare service would not be possible without our families’ input and engagement.
What is included at Childs Play ELC?
Our rooms are flexible when it comes to design, furniture, and resources and can be altered to cater to the needs and influx of the local families and their children. Children attending can look forward to a full menu including breakfast, morning tea, a two-course lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. Our in-house chef is trained to provide nutritious and delicious meals while staying aware of allergies and dietary requirements.
Our daily fee includes everything that your child requires for their day. Nappies, sunscreen, meals, milk. We ask that you bring a bag or backpack for your child along with a drink bottle for water that they can drink from with minimal or no assistance. Your child will be allocated a locker to keep their belongings in.

My daughter has been at Child’s Play for a year now. I can’t fault it one bit and I’m extremely happy. I love how the educators create a partnership between care and home. They create goals to work towards and involve families in this process. Child’s Play uses a very interactive app that gives daily information about toileting, food, sunscreen application and sleep. On top of this, they provide an update on what they did for the day and send photos, just what every parent wants to see when they leave their children. They went above and beyond with end of year presents and made orientation into new rooms a breeze.
